EXCURSION PROGRAMS

The Medieval Castle

A lively point of interest in our town is the Medieval Castle of Liubart built in the 13th century, duing the times of the Lithuanian Princedom. We will help you organize excursions to the old part of Lutsk and offer you the following programs:
* a standard general excursion around the castle;
* an excursion made in Medieval style with knights battling;
* an excursion around the old town, a descent into the Medieval basements, hot wine and    Medieval music.

An additional program: a demonstration of old clothes or horseback-riding on the territory of the castle. The standard excursion includes a visit to the castle: the gallery, the excavations, the survey area, and the bells exhibition. Excursion time is about two hours.

The excursion around the old town includes visits to a church (you can order an organ music concert), the Gospel House and the Pokrovskaya Church. Everything is situated quite close to the castle. If your group arrives late in the day, you can make an evening visit to the lighted castle after being accommodated at the hotel. The castle is a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

 The Open Air Museum

The Volyn museum of agriculture is situated 12 km from Lutsk in the village of Rokini (a 15 min. drive). There’s an old mill, huts an a forge; and everything is gathered together in one place to form an 'artificial' Ukrainian village. All the exhibits are genuine and were gathered together from different places in our region.
The museum offers:
* guide services;
* the possibility of looking at old agricultural equipment at work;
* horseback-riding or riding in a cart;
* the possibility of taking your excursion accompanied by folk artists (in national costumes, performing songs and dances);
* all night hay rides;
* dinner in a real Ukrainian hut with a menu (all the dishes of village Ukrainian cuisine are cooked right before you and you can participate in the process).
